2013 Golden Globes - Red/Pink

Apart from black, red was the boldest shade of the night, and there were a few shades of pink and maroon too.

Jessica Alba was just gorgeous in a melon coloured Oscar de la Renta Pre-Fall 2013 gown.  The gown fit her like a glove and highlighted her curves.

Her styling was just as impeccable.  Wavy locks, bright lips, a diamond neck piece by Harry Winston and a flirty, feathered Roger Vivier clutch in a dark orange shade.

Halle Berry was the only lady to wear a printed dress on the red carpet.

She stood out in an Atelier Versace Fall 2012 dress with a one-shoulder and a leg split.  I can't say I love the dress, maybe because I wasn't too crazy about this collection as a whole.

Halle finished off her look with her signature spiked cut and geometric earrings and bangles.

Jennifer Lawrence wore a dress by the label she currently endorses - Christian Dior.

I had doubts about this combination from the onset and so far she hasn't exactly succeeded while wearing Raf for Dior.  For the Globes, Jennifer wore a bright coral strapless gown from the Fall 2012 Couture collection.

The fitted dress has a structured bodice and a metallic waist band, including a flared, wide skirt.  The entire look worked except for the bodice, which felt off to me.

Claire Danes had a baby a few weeks ago, unbelievable right?  The 'Homeland' actress (who won an award for it) wore a simple halter neck red dress by Atelier Versace.

She looked like she did last year, no difference! Same figure, smile, elegance.

Marion Cotillard wore Christian Dior Couture. No surprises.

But what did surprise me a little was that she opted for an asymmetrical cocktail dress instead of a gown.  The colour was visually incredible but I wasn't too sure about the hang over part in the bodice.

The hair was left straight down her back in a sleek fashion which we've been seeing on runways for some time now.  As usual, bare minimum make-up let her natural beauty shine through.

Zooey Deschanel of 'New Girl' looked charming as always, in a red Oscar de la Renta ballgown with a sweetheart neckline.

The colour brought out her baby blues and the ponytail was a nice change, as were those classic pearls.
